Rowers and paddlers from throughout the Midwest and Canada will participate in the Duluth Rowing Club's annual Death Row on Sunday. Aptly named, Death Row is an 18-mile race upstream on the St. Louis River.
The race begins shortly after 8 a.m. with a mass start off the Duluth Rowing Club at 3911 Minnesota Avenue. The race ends just before Chambers Grove Park in Fond du Lac. Participants include rowing crews in various boats: Eights, quads, doubles and singles, as well as kayaks.
Spectators are welcome to watch the start at the Duluth Rowing Club. A limited number of same-day registrations are permitted.
