Rowing: Death Row regatta set

Rowers and paddlers from throughout the Midwest and Canada will participate in the Duluth Rowing Club's annual Death Row on Sunday. Aptly named, Death Row is an 18-mile race upstream on the St. Louis River.

Rowers and paddlers from throughout the Midwest and Canada will participate in the Duluth Rowing Club's annual Death Row on Sunday. Aptly named, Death Row is an 18-mile race upstream on the St. Louis River.

The race begins shortly after 8 a.m. with a mass start off the Duluth Rowing Club at 3911 Minnesota Avenue. The race ends just before Chambers Grove Park in Fond du Lac. Participants include rowing crews in various boats: Eights, quads, doubles and singles, as well as kayaks.

Spectators are welcome to watch the start at the Duluth Rowing Club. A limited number of same-day registrations are permitted.
