It's been almost seven years, which means the footage of Minnesota Duluth's 2004 trip to the Frozen Four may be getting a little grainy. Yes, they had a memorable playoff run in 2009, but it's been mostly a matter of not quite meeting expectations in recent years; the Bulldogs looking like a solid NCAA playoff team on Feb. 1, then falling just short in the next six weeks. With a long-awaited new arena set to open on Dec. 30 and tons of offense back from last year's squad, the Bulldogs have set the bar high this time around. A schedule that has them playing most of their tougher home games in the second half of the season has got to be to their liking.
