Red Rock Radio and the University of Minnesota Duluth have agreed to a two-year extension of radio broadcasting rights to Bulldog football and men's hockey games.
The extension, announced Friday, means that UMD football and men's hockey games will continue to air on Red Rock stations through the 2014-15 season.
"We are delighted to again partner with UMD to provide exclusive radio play by play for fans in the Northland area," Shawn Skramstad, vice president and general manager for Red Rock Radio, said in a news release.
UMD men's hockey airs in the Twin Ports on 94X, KZIO-FM. UMD football is broadcast in the Twin Ports on KQDS-AM, The Fan 1490.
Both sports also air on Red Rock stations KQ 105.5, KBAJ-FM in the Grand Rapids-Deer River area, and KQ 106.7, KAOD-FM in the Ely-Babbitt area.

Red Rock Radio has held the broadcast rights for UMD football and men's hockey since the 2009-10 season.
