Red team blanks White in All-Star Game
Kyle Kleinendorst of Grand Rapids went 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to earn MVP honors in leading the Red team to an 8-0 victory over the White team in the American Legion District 8 All-Star Game on Thursday in Chisholm.
Luke Benson of Deer River was 4-for-5 with two doubles, and Alex Koschak of Ely was 3-for-4 with a double and RBI for the Red, while Spencer Salo of Chisholm struck out four in two innings and allowed no hits to get the win.
Jeremy Paschke of Virginia had a double to lead the White, while Garrett Hanson of Duluth Central had the only steal of the game.
