Eagles drop season-opener to Dragons

SOLON SPRINGS — Bailey Monson paced the Solon Springs girls basketball team with 21 points — including five 3-pointers — but the Eagles dropped their season-opening game Thursday night to Siren 50-36.

Kyra Latvala chipped in 9 for the Eagles and Emma Peterson paced the Dragons with 18.

Solon Spring's next contest is Tuesday at Webster.
