GRAND RAPIDS — It was a busy day for the Grand Rapids power play on Saturday at the IRA Civic Center, but four goals with the man advantage were only enough to get the Thunderhawks a 4-4 tie with Hill-Murray on Saturday at the IRA Civic Center.
Easton Young recorded a pair of power-play goals in the first period and Henry Sterle added another at 9:04 of the second to make it 9:04 Thunderhawks, but Hill-Murray scored three times in the last 2:01 of the frame to take a 4-3 lead into the second intermission.
Joey DelGreco equalized four minutes into the third period, but that would be the last entry on the scoresheet for either side.
Continuing the even nature of the game, both teams had 29 shots on goal. Rapids' Myles Gunderson had 25 saves.
