Northwood/Solon Springs’ Annika Patrick went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and four runs in a five-inning, 10-0 win over Clear Lake Tuesday in Minong.
Kyra Latvala and Izzy Golembiewski each hit RBI triples and Emme Golembieski collected a hit and three RBIs for NSS.

“We’ve just been working on mechanics, fundamental swings and situational stuff,” NSS coach Dale Rajala said. “We’re just trying to make sure we’re not trying to do too much with a pitch being able to identify tat release point and spraying a good pitch wherever it is in the zone.”
Pitchers Zoey Vaara and Lily Borst combined for a no-hitter and the NSS defense was excellent behind them.

“We’ve been playing very good defense, not giving away outs, not giving away runs and making our opponents earn their runs,” Rajala said.
