Hermantown's Vieau named to 2022 US Under-17 Men’s Select Team

Dallas Vieau, who helped the Hawks win a Minnesota Class A state championship as a sophomore last year, will compete in the Under-17 Five National Tournament in August in Colorado Springs.

Hermantown’s Dallas Vieau was one of 20 players named to the 2022 United States Under-17 Men’s Select Team on Wednesday for the upcoming Under-17 Five National Tournament scheduled for Aug. 9-13 in Colorado Springs, Colorado .

Vieau is coming off a sophomore season at Hermantown High School where he scored 17 goals and 12 assists in 31 games to help the Hawks win the Minnesota Class A state championship at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul this spring.

The 2022 U17 Five Nations Tournament, which will take place at Colorado College’s Ed Robson Arena, will include Czechia, Germany, Slovakia and Switzerland. Team USA will be coached by Dan Jablonic.

The 2022 U.S. U17 Men’s Select Team was selected following the weeklong USA Hockey Boys Select 16 Player Development Camp in Amherst, New York.
