Ryan Tomsche scored a pair of goals to lead Cloquet-Esko-Carlton to a 4-1 Lake Superior Conference victory over host Duluth Marshall Wednesday in high school boys soccer.

Senior captain Ryan Tomsche scored a pair of goals to lead Cloquet-Esko-Carlton to a 4-1 Lake Superior Conference victory over host Duluth Marshall Wednesday in high school boys soccer.

Xavier Anderson-White and Elijah Aultman added goals for the Lumberjacks while goalkeeper Lucas Rauner added three saves.

Brendan Friday scored on an assist from Collin Larson in the 52nd minute to get Marshall on the scoreboard while goalie Jasper Timm added seven saves for the Hilltoppers.

VOLLEYBALL

Duluth East 3, St. Francis 1

Ashlyn Ring had 11 kills and three blocks and Riley Panger added 10 kills, seven digs and five ace serves to lead the host Greyhounds to the 25-9, 25-12, 25-27, 25-12 victory.

Ola Okoro paced the East offense with 27 set assists while adding four ace serves.
