Another monster night from senior Joe Janke keyed South Ridge's 41-6 win over Floodwood in a Section 5 Nine-Man semifinal late Saturday night in Culver.
Janke rushed 25 times for 280 yards and five touchdowns as the top-seeded Panthers (9-0) breezed into Friday's section final opposite No. 2 Cromwell-Wright. That game is slated for 7:15 p.m. at Esko.
Already the state's leading rusher according to Minnesota Football Hub, Janke surpassed the 2,000-yard mark Saturday, when he scored every one of South Ridge's TDs, plus three of five two-point conversions. For good measure, he drilled a 30-yard field goal in the third quarter.

Three rushing touchdowns apiece from Cameron Cahoon and Kannon Korpela carried the host Cardinals (10-0) to a convincing victory in the Section 5 Nine-Man semis.
Cahoon's final TD was an 80-yarder, while Korpela's last trip to the end zone was a 70-yard trek.
Cromwell-Wright is the two-time defending section champ.
