Sophie McGovern scored two goals and assisted on two others to pace the Proctor-Hermantown girls hockey team to a season-opening 5-3 victory over Moose Lake Area Thursday night in Proctor.
Jessica Bird scored a goal and notched two assists for Moose Lake Area (1-1).
The Mirage (1-0) host Chisago Lakes Area today at 5 p.m. in Proctor. The game was moved from Saturday in order to allow fans to watch Proctor's state semifinal football game at the Metrodome.
