Duluth Marshall swept its way into the Section 7AA volleyball semifinals Friday, defeating visiting Duluth Denfeld 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.
Leading the charge was Kate Kleinschmidt, who amassed 17 kills. Margo Amatuzio quarterbacked the Hilltoppers' attack with 30 set assists while Aleksie Rengel had 23 digs.
Denfeld's Caitlin Schneeweis and Jordyn Maas totaled 13 kills and 31 assists, respectively.
Marshall takes on Greenway in Wednesday's semifinals at Denfeld.
Hermantown 3, Virginia 1

The balanced Hawks received 10 kills apiece from Maddy Foster and Natalie Arntson to return to the Section 7AA semifinals via a 25-23, 25-18, 19-25, 25-19 victory at Hermantown.
Hermantown will meet North Branch at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Denfeld, with Marshall-Greenway to follow.
Carlton 3, Cromwell-Wright 1
Allysan Hoeffling led four Bulldogs in double-digit kills as host Carlton knocked off the Cardinals 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-14 in a Section 7A quarterfinal.
The Bulldogs and North Woods will meet in Wednesday's section semifinals at 5:30 p.m. in Hibbing, followed by Cook County vs. Cherry.
