The state's 10th-ranked team offered little resistance against the explosive Hawks (11-2), who used a four-goal second period to turn this one into a rout.
Red-hot Hermantown goalie Jace Thomas stopped all 17 shots he faced.
The second-ranked Hawks won their third straight, while the Crusaders (9-5) lost for the fifth time in six games.
