Willis Kantonen scored two goals and Tyler Ampe made 17 saves as fourth-ranked Hermantown edged No. 6 Virginia-Mountain Iron-Buhl 4-2 in a high school boys hockey nonconference game Tuesday night at Hermantown.
The Hawks improved to 5-1 and dropped the Blue Devils to 6-3-1.
