Esko standout Kory Deadrick announced Thursday via Twitter he would play his college basketball at St. Thomas in St. Paul.
The outgoing 6-foot-7 senior led the Eskomos to the Minnesota Class AA boys basketball title last week in Minneapolis. He averaged about 26 points per game this past season while becoming the school’s all-time scoring and rebounding leader. The career scoring mark had stood since the 1950s.
Deadrick, along with fellow seniors Marc Peterson and Casey Staniger, carried the Eskomos to their first state basketball crown one year after finishing fourth.
