Prep report: Emerson leads Bluejackets to a swimming dual meet victory over Spartans

Emerson wins two individual events and is part of two winning relays for Hibbing.

Macie Emerson won the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events and was part of Hibbing’s winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays to lead the Bluejackets to a 105-73 dual-meet victory over Superior Thursday in Superior.

Ella Kalisch won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 backstroke and was also on the winning 200 medley relay.

Superior also got individual victories from Kylie Peterson (200 freestyle) and Gabby Saari (100 breaststroke), while the team of Peterson. Paige Booker, Charlotte Johnson and Sasha Peterson won the 400 freestyle in 4:17.49.

BOYS SOCCER

Hermantown 3, Proctor 1

Nathan Hill, Wylee Arro and Dylan Onofreychuk scored first-half goals as the Hawks cruised to the home win.

Zach Schnabel scored in the 70th minute to get the Rails on the scoreboard.

GIRLS SOCCER

Esko 2, Princeton 1

Abrianna Madill’s goal at 72:25 lifted the Eskomos to the road win.

After Princeton’s Amelia Smith got the scoring started at 54:41 the second, Ava Korby scored the neutralizer just five minutes later. That set the stage for Madill, who scored on an assist from Avery Kuklinski.

Orie Randall had one save for Esko while Morgan Miller had 19 for Princeton.
