Darby Henderson scored two first-half goals and Matt Sorensen tallied twice in the second half as Duluth East routed host Coon Rapids 4-0 in high school boys soccer action Saturday.
Hugh VanScoy stopped all six shots he faced to earn the shutout for the Greyhounds (4-3-4).

Lyndsay Burud scored two overtime goals and Madison Baker stopped 10 shots as the Rails knocked off the host Eskomos in a nonconference game.
Burud tallied in the 85th and 89th minutes to secure the win.

Superior 35, Menomonie 34
The Spartans overcame a 14-point deficit, five touchdowns by Derrek Kahl and a lengthy lightning delay to beat host Menomonie for the first time in school history Friday night in a Big Rivers Conference game.
Four of quarterback Nick Mehlum’s six completions went for touchdowns, two to Beau Girard as Superior (4-1 overall, 3-0 Big Rivers) came back from deficits of 13-0, 21-7 and 28-14.
Jake Libal caught a 72-yard TD pass, while Ross Kennelly added a 16-yard scoring reception and a 2-yard run that gave the Spartans a 35-28 lead in the third quarter. Kennelly finished with 125 yards on 14 carries.
Kahl, who rushed for 278 yards on 32 carries, plunged in from 3 yards out for his fifth touchdown with 2:15 to play but the Mustangs (2-3, 1-2) missed the tying kick.

Ben Mayerchak rushed for 226 yards on 27 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead the Vikings past the Hunters in a Mississippi 8 Conference game Friday at North Branch, Minn.
North Branch (1-3, 1-3) gained 478 yards on the ground to earn their first victory of the season.
Quarterback Tommy Jackson completed 12 of 19 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns. Two scoring passes were caught by Kadin Ferguson, who had six grabs for 162 yards.
