Thomas Welinski and Joey Kronzer scored second-half goals to lift Duluth Marshall to a 2-1 win at Proctor on Tuesday, giving the Hilltoppers back-to-back Lake Superior Conference high school boys soccer titles.
Ian Ecklund put the defending Section 7A champion Rails ahead 1-0 at halftime before the Hilltoppers (10-3-1, 7-0) rallied with goals in the 57th and 65th minutes.

Steven Bradshaw scored twice in the second half, including a penalty kick, as the Hunters (5-9-1, 1-6) won their first LSC game of the season at Public Schools Stadium.

Northwestern misses state berth
The Northwestern girls golf team finished seventh out of eight teams at the Wisconsin Division 2 sectional meet at Pheasant Hills Golf Course in Hammond, Wis., and missed out on a state berth.

Junior Gwen LaPole was the Tigers' top finisher, shooting 98 to finish 21st.
