Prep report: Duluth Marshall edges Two Harbors in girls soccer

Anna Thickens stopped all 13 shots she faced and Allie McKenna’s 52nd-minute strike made a 1-0 winner of Duluth Marshall in a nonconference girls soccer match Monday at Two Harbors.
McKenna scored on an assist from Megan Coughlan in the second half against an otherwise perfect Sam Dewey, who had nine saves for the Agates.
The Hilltoppers have won four of five.

Justice Janke tallied her 1,000th career kill as the Panthers won the nonconference road match 25-19, 25-10, 19-25, 25-16. The senior middle hitter had 23 kills Monday and teammate Mikayla Olesiak tallied 39 set assists.

Anna Hansmeyer had 13 kills, Kassidy Steen added 11, and the Lumberjacks rolled to a 25-6, 25-13, 25-8 victory in a Lake Superior Conference home contest.
