Duluth East's win streak and shutout streak reached seven with a 3-0 victory over Hermantown in a high school girls soccer game Wednesday night at Public Schools Stadium.
Defenders Christy Hacking, Lydie Smith and Kara Mehrman helped limit the Hawks to five shots on goal, all of which were stopped by goalkeeper Ana White.
Alex Freeman, Caroline Henderson and Michelle Stingle all scored second-half goals to raise the Greyhounds' record to 9-6. Freeman's goal was her Northland-leading 25th of the season.

Duluth East 2, Hermantown 1

Domenick Bergeland and David Lofsteun scored goals to lead the Greyhounds to a victory over the Hawks. Bergeland also assisted on Lofsteun's goal.
Connor Kanuit scored for Hermantown.
Daniel Spooner made six saves for Duluth East, while Mitchell Ryks stopped nine shots for Hermantown.

Hibbing 3, Grand Rapids 2
Ebony Gray had 19 kills and three ace blocks to lead the Bluejackets past the rival Thunderhawks at Grand Rapids on Tuesday night.
Courtney Wirtanen added 40 set assists and Kailey Wirtanen posted a double-double in kills and digs for Hibbing (6-8).
