The Lumberjacks (3-1) scored a run in the fourth inning on four hits, including Shania Paulson's RBI single. Dalyce Gustafson scored the second run on a wild pitch in the fifth inning.

Central pitcher Sarah Hendrickson allowed nine hits.

Megan Mullen hit a grand slam and drove in five runs and combined with Katie Thun on a five-inning no-hitter in the Hawks' nonconference home win.

Kristen Predovich tossed a one-hitter, struck out 17 and hit a two-run home run as the Blue Devils routed the visiting Bluejackets.

Virginia hosts Hermantown today in a rematch of the teams' Section 7AA final, which the Hawks captured with a pair of 1-0 victories.

Grant Rindal drove in four runs to back Ryan Myhre's five-inning two-hitter in an LSC game at Superior.

Darryl Hansen scattered seven hits and struck out eight to lead the visiting Vikings to the Polar League win.

Moose Lake-WR 36, Cromwell 0

Rejean Carlson was 4-for-7, scored four runs and hit a homer among his five RBIs as the visiting Rebels cruised to the Polar League win.

Michael Unzen, Trevor Nummela and Abe Young scored four runs apiece, while Nummela and Hayden Hoffman combined on five-inning no-hitter.
