Logan Manderfeld scored in the 62nd minute to give Cloquet-Esko-Carlton a 3-2 win over Duluth Marshall in a Lake Superior Conference high school boys soccer game Tuesday at Cloquet.
The Hilltoppers, who already won the conference title and earned the top seed in Section 7A, twice came from a goal down to tie the game after the Lumberjacks' Landen Straub had scored.
CEC finished the regular season 11-3-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the league; Marshall fell to 11-4-1 and 8-1.

Maija Doran scored two goals and the host Lumberjacks outshot the Hilltoppers 23-2 to win the LSC finale.
Cloquet (9-7, 6-2) enters the 7A playoffs having won of its last six games.

win conference
Northwestern won the boys team title in Tuesday's Heart O North meet at Norwood Golf Course in Lake Nebagamon. Bloomer senior John Vodacek won the individual race in 16 minutes, 45.6 seconds for 5,000 meters following by Northwestern teammates junior Ryan Lind in 17:05.4 and sophomore Mason Lombard in 17:34.9.
Ladysmith junior Andrea Ostenso won the girls 4,000-meter race in 14:44.1. Bloomer claimed the team title and Northwestern was second.
