Virginia Area won the boys and girls Arrowhead Conference Invitational team titles at Giants Ridge. The Virginia girls won in a tiebreaker over Duluth East.
East swept the individual championships -- Henry Roningen led the boys in 1 minute, 14.32 seconds for two runs, while Amy Sienko was first in the girls division in 1:24.86.
WIAA names Anderson executive director

Dave Anderson was introduced Thursday as the executive director of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association.
Anderson, 55, fills the vacancy created by the impending retirement of Doug Chickering, effective Aug. 1. He becomes just the fifth executive director since the position was created in 1924.
