The K1 Stars of the North Girls High School Hockey All-Star Game is being played tonight at Northwoods Arena in Cloquet.
A total of 68 players representing the Northland will compete in two games.
The Future Stars compete at 5 p.m., matching the best freshmen and sophomores in the area.
At 7:15, the top juniors and seniors square off.
Kids wearing hockey jerseys will be admitted free of charge.

Each February since 2003, the best players in Northern Minnesota have gathered in Cloquet for a Northern Minnesota Hockey classic where the players showcase their talent and skills. Over 60 percent of participants have gone on to play at the college level at more than 30 programs including Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maine, Union, Boston, Harvard, Bemidji, Syracuse, Vermont, St. Cloud and many more.
