In high school soccer, the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton and Duluth East boys had shutout victories.
The programs have been in development for a few years at Cloquet and Duluth East and were on display at halftime of the teams’ varsity football matchup Friday.
Esko and Northwestern claimed big home victories on Friday.
The Lumberjacks’ “relentless pursuit” of Duluth East running back Austan Orvedahl was key to the win, according to Cloquet coach Jeff Ojanen.
