Palm joins Development Program staff

Former Minnesota Duluth defenseman Trent Palm of Edina, Minn., has been named an intern coach for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program Under-17 team in Ann Arbor, Mich., for 2012-13.

Former Minnesota Duluth defenseman Trent Palm of Edina, Minn., has been named an intern coach for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program Under-17 team in Ann Arbor, Mich., for 2012-13.

Palm, 24, played part of 2011-12 with Chicago in the East Coast Hockey League and was a scout for Sioux City in the U.S. Hockey League. He's also served as strength and conditioning coach for the Benilde-St. Margaret's High School summer training program since 2005. He was at UMD from 2006-11 after playing with the National Team Development Program from 2004-06.
