GREEN BAY โ€” The Green Bay Packers' 2022 season will start with 10 straight Sunday games and feature a handful of exotic destinations, including Miami on Christmas Day and the team's first regular season game overseas.

The Packers will open their season at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for the second time in the last three years, the first of eight road games. Green Bay is scheduled to be the home team nine times in the NFL's 17-game schedule, but will only play eight games at Lambeau Field, as they'll give up a home game to play the New York Giants at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 9.

Green Bay's home opener is the first of five primetime games, a Sunday Night Football clash with the Chicago Bears in Week 2 (Sept. 18). Green Bay's Week 3 and 4 games (at Tampa Bay, vs. New England) will feature in prominent late-afternoon spot before the trip to London in Week 5.

The NFL allows teams to schedule their bye week to follow a London trip but the Packers opted against that, taking their bye in December. Instead the Packers will play the New York teams back-to-back, hosting the Jets in Week 6.

Other prominent contests include a Week 8 Sunday nighter at Buffalo (Oct. 30), a home reunion with former coach (and current Dallas coach) Mike McCarthy in Week 10 (Nov. 13), a Thursday nighter vs. Tennessee in Week 11 (Nov. 17) and one more NBC appearance Nov. 27 at Philadelphia.

Green Bay's last scheduled prime time game is its only game on Monday Night Football, Dec. 19 vs. the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.

Most of the NFL will be playing its Week 16 game on Saturday, Dec. 24, but the Packers were picked for a prominent (and sunny) spotlight at noon on Christmas Day at Miami. The Packers then close their regular season with NFC North home games against Minnesota and Detroit.

Green Bay's bye (Week 14) won't come until mid-December, and the Packers won't get a free weekend until after the Thursday night game on Nov. 17.
