Brenna McClarey hit a three-run home run and Allie Wojtysiak drove in another three runs to propel Cloquet to an 11-2 victory over North Branch in the Section 7AAA high school softball playoffs Saturday at Braun Park in Cloquet.

With the win, the fifth-ranked Lumberjacks advance to the winner's bracket final against host Chisago Lakes on Tuesday in Lindstrom, Minn. The winner qualifies for the section final without a defeat in the double-elimination tournament.

Lucy Sinkkonen scattered seven hits and struck out seven to earn the win.

Hermantown 13, Duluth Denfeld 2

Peyton Fath had four RBIs and teammate Alana Mayry added three to back Hannah Mihalik's five-inning four-hitter in a 7AAA elimination game at Forest Lake.

• The Hawks earlier lost 3-2 to Chisago Lakes when Desi Spicer singled in two runs in the seventh inning to win the game. Winning pitcher Trinity Junker had 10 strikeouts.

Grand Rapids 11, North Branch 2

The Thunderhawks survived their second win-or-go-home 7AAA playoff game as Ellie Tillma completed an 8-for-8, six-run performance by getting a hit in each of her four at-bats. Lindsey Rajala contributed five RBIs.

• Grand Rapids earlier downed Princeton 9-5 as Tillma went 4-for-4 and Emily Wochnick drove in three runs.

Andover 5, Duluth East 1

The Greyhounds scored first in the opening inning but allowed home runs by Billie Donahue, Maddy Schaefer and Kaitlyn Zaske the rest of the way to have their season conclude in the Section 7AAAA playoffs at Forest Lake.
