Prep report: Cloquet runs to LSC titles
Olivia Jameson won three individual events and teammate Alexa Snesrud won twice and led off the winning 800-meter relay team as the Cloquet girls claimed the Lake Superior Conference track and field title Tuesday at Superior.
The Lumberjacks totaled 201.5 points in the girls competition to complete a sweep. Cloquet eased past Duluth Denfeld to win the boys title by 64 points despite the Hunters' Wryott Gerson winning the 100 and 200 meters, the long jump and triple jump.
Tigers double up in HON
Michael Knaack won 100, 200 and 400-meter races to lead Northwestern to the Heart O'North Conference boys team title at Chetek.
The Tigers also won the girls team title behind two individual wins by Journey Amundson.
Superior 10, Duluth Denfeld 0
Mady Stariha tossed a five-inning perfect game, striking out eight as the Spartans won the LSC game at Wade Field.
Stariha, Autumn Siers, McKenzie Lehto and Hailee Melgeorge each had two RBIs for Superior.
Superior 11-10, Ashland 1-0
Conner Fonger threw a two-hitter and Ben Rhodes followed with a one-hitter as the Spartans won a pair of five-inning LSC games at NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Tyler Johnson drove in two runs to lead the Hilltoppers to the LSC win at Wade Stadium.
