Curling: Shuster evens mark at worlds

John Shuster's USA team evened its mark on Sunday at the World Men's Curling Championships in Lethbridge, Alberta.

The Americans, coming off a loss to Jaap Van Dorp's Netherlands rink in Saturday's opening round, posted a 6-3 win over Korea on Sunday. Shuster, a Superior resident, and Duluthians Chris Plys and John Landsteiner, plus Matt Hamilton of McFarland, Wis., are now 1-1 in the 12-game round robin. They outshot Korea's SooHyuk rink 90-75 percent.

The U.S. met Germany late Sunday night.
