Curling: Shuster evens record at World Cup
John Shuster and the American men rebounded from an opening-match loss to beat Scotland 8-3 on Thursday at the Curling World Cup in Omaha, Neb.
Shuster and Duluth Curling Club teammates Chris Plys, John Landsteiner and Matt Hamilton started strong against Bruce Mouat's team to even their record at 1-1.
"We knew we had to all go out there and do our jobs," Landsteiner, whose team lost to China on Wednesday night, said in a news release. "We played a lot better today."
In mixed doubles, Joe Polo of Duluth and teammate Tabitha Peterson fell 6-5 to Rui Wang and Ba Dexin of China.
