Defending champion Kevin Oswald of Omaha and Dan Moline of Duluth, the top two seeds, won quarterfinal matches Saturday in the 86th Arrowhead Invitational men's match play tournament at Ridgeview Country Club.
In today's 7:30 a.m. semifinal matches, Oswald faces Mark Anderson of Duluth, while Moline meets former champion Alex Kolquist of Hermantown. The championship final is set for 2:30 p.m.
In the quarterfinals, Oswald eliminated Matt Smith of Duluth in three extra holes, Anderson stopped former champion Reed Kolquist of Hermantown 4 and 3, Alex Kolquist beat Gustavus Adolphus teammate Andrew Oakes of Hermantown 1 up and Moline defeated Topher Baron of St. Paul 3 and 1.
In the Senior championship flight final at 10:30 a.m. today, Rick Seitz faces Lee Brotherton. The Saturday semifinals had Brotherton defeating Mike Abrahamson and Seitz beating Thomm Smith.
