DULUTH — Duluth FC continued a torrid start to the 2022 National Premier Soccer League North Conference season, routing the Minnesota TwinStars 5-0 on Wednesday at Public Schools Stadium to make it three shutout wins in as many games.

Wednesday's contest featured a pair of goals from Blake Perry, who opened the scoring in the 24th minute and tacked on the BlueGreens' third goal of the night in the 39th.

Sam Thornton and Santiago Erazo also found the back of the net to put the hosts 4-0 up at halftime against a visiting side that had already lost a man to a red card just before the break.

Peter Oyetunji finished it off with a late goal for the BlueGreens, who'll put their 3-0 record on the line in their next game, May 28 vs. La Crosse Aris.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
