Northwoods League: Huskies fall in extra innings to Eau Claire

The Express score in the bottom of the 10th for a 3-2 victory.

Alejandro Macario's two-out single to left field in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Eau Claire Express a 3-2 extra-innings victory over the Duluth Huskies in Northwoods League play Monday in Eau Claire.

The Express finished with just four hits in the game while the Huskies, who committed a pair of errors, had 10.

Michael Brooks led the Huskies bats by going 2-for-4 at the plate. He and Ambren Voitik both drove in runs for Duluth in the top of the seventh for a 2-0 lead, however, Eau Claire tied the game with two runs of their own in the bottom of the seventh.

Will McEntire went six innings on the mound for the Huskies, giving up two runs off three hits with two walks and six strikeouts.

The Huskies are back home Wednesday to host the La Crosse Loggers at 6:35 p.m. at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
