Northwestern improved its first-day score by six strokes to finish seventh in the Wisconsin Interscholas-tic Athletic Association Division 2 high school boys golf tournament Tuesday at University Ridge in Madison.
The Tigers totaled 678 for 36 holes, shooting 336 during Tuesday's second round. Justin Alexson was Northwestern's low scorer, finishing 21st with a pair of 81s for a 162 total.
Madison Edgewood won the team competition with 611 strokes, 21 ahead of runner-up Green Bay Notre Dame. Edgewood's Cody Strang, who was three shots off the lead after Monday's first round, shot a 70 Tuesday to earn medalist honors with an even-par total of 144. Edgerton's Dan Ozga was second with a 3-over 147.
