The eight-team National Collegiate Hockey Conference, which opens play in 2013-14, unveiled a conference logo, tournament playoff format and a website Thursday in Minneapolis.
The logo resembles a trophy plaque with the block letters NCHC and eight stars. The league postseason tournament will pair the teams for four quarterfinal games, followed by a championship round at Target Center in Minneapolis. There will be two semifinal games March 21 and a championship and third-place game on March 22, with game times yet to be announced.
