DULUTH — Zach Herfindahl finished the Cor PowerSports Cross Country snowmobile series in style, sweeping the Pro Open and Pro Factory finals this past weekend at Spirit Mountain.
Herfindahl was also crowned the season champion in both classes.
Herfindahl, on his Arctic Cat, cruised to victory in Saturday’s Pro Open final by nearly 31 seconds over Marshall Busse, and he won Sunday’s Pro Factory final over Busse by nearly 68 seconds.
Cor PowerSports is a cross-country snowmobile series based in Somerset, Wisconsin. The 2021-22 season is the 11th season of the series and the second with a pro national series.
In 2015 the series started running ski hill races and has held numerous ski hill events since then but Duluth, which used to host its annual Duluth National Snocross, attracting thousands every Thanksgiving, was at the top of the list, unchecked, till this weekend.

The series also hosted its year-ending banquet at Spirit Mountain.
