Defending champion Dan Moline and Matt Smith, both of Duluth, shot 1-under-par 71 Saturday to share the first-round lead of the 66th Lakeview Medal men's tournament at Lester Park Golf Course.
Tied for second at 72 are Cade Ledingham of Duluth and Andrew Oakes of Hermantown, while Duluthians Ross Fremont and Dave Issacson are next at 74.
The final 27 holes will be played beginning at 8 a.m. today. The last nine holes will start at approximately 2 p.m.
