Locker is 99th on 'Hub' list
Former Duluth East center Chris Locker has been named among the top 100 players in Minnesota high school boys hockey history in a ranking compiled by the web site Minnesota Hockey Hub.
Locker, 33, a personal athlete trainer in Duluth and on the staff of Minnesota Hockey Camps, was ranked No. 99 by Hockey Hub, which used a 200-point maximum grading system -- 185 based on high school career, 10 on state championships and five on post-high school career.
Locker recorded 85 goals and 171 assists for 256 points at East through 1996. Linemate Dave Spehar totaled 166 goals. Together the classmates helped the Greyhounds place third in Minnesota Class AA tournament in 1994 and 1996, while winning the state title in 1995.
"I'm sure there are many players who are deserving of being on this list and I'm just so honored to be one," said Locker.
