The father-son team of Reed and Alex Kolquist tied for 21st after the opening round of the 50th MGA Four-Ball Championship on Tuesday at Oak Ridge Country Club in Hopkins, Minn.

The Kolquists shot a 2-under-par 68, with 69 being the cut for today's second and final round. David and Michael Christensen of Elk River and Pokegama golf courses, respectively, also tied for 21st with a 68.

Mark Aldrich and Erik Christopherson of Mendakota and Teemaster golf course have a two-stroke lead with a 62.

Clinton Cornell and Matt Schneider of Pokegama, Brian Moores and Andrew Oakes of Monticello and Lester Park golf courses, Cliff Ashby Jr. and Scott Lundgren of Ridgeview Country Club, Andrew Krasaway and Taylor Sundbom of Lester Park, Frank and Rich Mertz of Northland Country Club and Mint Harris and Todd Scaia of Mesaba Country Club also competed.
