The Minnesota Wilderness finds itself deadlocked with Fairbanks atop the NAHL Midwest Division at 80 points following two wins and a loss over the weekend against the Minnesota Magicians and Bismarck.
The Wilderness (37-14-6) split its two-game home weekend series with Bismarck, getting two goals from Isak Bergland in a 3-2 shootout win on Friday before losing 3-2 on Saturday despite Bradley Johnson and Wayland Williams both scoring.
The Wilderness opened the weekend with a 3-2 win at the rival Magicians on Thursday. Aaron Miller, Darian Romanko and Williams rallied the Wilderness from a 2-0 deficit with three unanswered goals.
Ryan Anderson made 18 saves in goal for the Wilderness against the Magicians while Brock Kautz played in net for both games against Bismarck, stopping 19 shots on Friday and 16 on Saturday.
The Wilderness close out the regular season this Friday through Sunday against Coulee Region, playing Friday in Cloquet and Saturday and Sunday in La Crosse, Wis.
