The Minnesota Wilderness are one game from elimination in the North American Hockey League playoffs.

Austin goaltender Alex Schilling stopped 27 shots in the Bruins' 3-1 first-round playoff victory Saturday night in Austin, Minn., giving Austin a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Dan Petrick scored in the first period and Alex Mella gave the Bruins a 2-0 lead 34 seconds into the second period.

Landon Langenbrunner halved the deficit at 5:10 of the third period before Lane Krenzen of Duluth ended matters with an empty-net goal with 15 seconds to play.

Jacob Sibell made 30 saves for the Wilderness, who will host Game 3 on Friday night at Northwoods Arena in Cloquet.
