Junior hockey: Wilderness defeat Magicians on late goal

Minnesota beat Austin in a shootout the night before.

Josh Bohlin scored with 2 minutes, 9 seconds to play in the third period Sunday to give the Minnesota Wilderness a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Magicians in North American Hockey League action at Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.

Dominkis Marcinkevics and Gunnar Thoreson also scored for the Wilderness (5-5) while goaltender Jacob Zacharewicz made 26 saves.

Andy Beran stopped 29 shots for the Magicians.

  • Grant Doctor scored in the fourth round of a scoreless shootout to give the Wilderness a 2-1 victory over the Austin Bruins on Saturday night in Cloquet. Down 1-0 in the third period, Minnesota’s Mitchell Allard scored on a power play with 3:34 left to force overtime.
