Junior hockey: Wilderness defeat Jets in shootout

The Minnesota Wilderness defeated the Janesville Jets 2-1 in a shootout in an NAHL game Friday at the Janesville Ice Arena in Janesville.

Ryan Nelson scored on the Wilderness' first shootout attempt and Janesville also scored. After both teams missed on three attempts, Minnesota's Zach Michaelis scored and Wilderness goalie Isak Johansson turned back the Jets' final attempt.

Janesville led 1-0 after one period but the Wilderness' Aaron Myers tied the game at 12:51 of the second period on assists from Christian Galatz and Nate Horn. Johansson stopped 37 of 38 shots.
