Junior hockey: Wilderness cap regular season with 4-1 win

Christian Galatz scores twice for Minnesota, which clinched a postseason berth Friday night.

Christian Galatz scored two goals to lead the Minnesota Wilderness to a 4-1 victory over the Bismarck Bobcats in the regular season finale Saturday at Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.

Galatz opened the scoring on Saturday night 12:30 into a three-goal third period for the Wilderness. Galatz's second goal was an empty netter with 1:39 to go in regulation.

Mikol Sartor and Ethan Wolthers also scored for the Wilderness while goaltender Jacob Zacharewicz made 32 saves on 33 shots. His bid for a shutout was spoiled with 7:28 to go in the game.

The Wilderness (25-27) clinched a postseason berth on Friday after beating the Bobcats 3-1 in Cloquet to secure a top-four spot in the North American Hockey League Central Division.
