Jensen pitches Huskies to victory over Stingers

Pitching in the first game since the All-Star break, Jensen, a sophomore from the University of San Diego, allowed four hits and overcame four walks. He had three strikeouts.

Austin Gaines pitched two innings of relief and Jason Whalen pitched a scoreless ninth for his seventh save of the season for the Huskies (6-4 second half, 23-18 overall). Offensively, Zeke DeVoss had two hits and two RBIs, while Mark Threlkeld added two hits and a run.

Sean Dwyer and Mikey Reynolds had two hits apiece to lead Willmar (5-6, 23-23), which stranded nine base runners.

The same teams rematch at 7:05 p.m. today at Wade Stadium.
