Registration for the William A. Irvin 5K race is closed, Grandma's Marathon announced today. The 3.1-mile race, scheduled for June 19, reached its 1,500-person limit less than one week after the registration period began Wednesday.
The race starts and finishes alongside the William A. Irvin ore boat in downtown Duluth. The event is the first of three road races during Grandma's Marathon weekend. Registration remains open for Grandma's Marathon, while registration is closed for the Garry Bjorklund Half-Marathon. These two races are on June 20.
