Huskies win to keep playoff pace

Wade Wass added a solo home run while Conor Szczerba and Paul Karmeris added doubles for Duluth (14-11), which snapped a two-game losing skid to remain a game and a half behind the Willmar Stingers (15-9) in the North Division second-half standings. Jonathon Meyer pitched six and a third strong innings for Duluth, while Nathan Garza got the win and Dylan Vogt got the save.

Kevin Kaczmarski had three hits, including a triple, to lead Waterloo (11-13).

Duluth and Waterloo close out their three-game series at 7:05 p.m. today at Wade Stadium before the Huskies go on the road for a pivotal three-game series at Willmar starting Thursday.
