Huskies hold on to beat St. Cloud

The Duluth Huskies built a 6-0 lead and then held on for a 6-5 victory over the St. Cloud Rox in Northwoods League baseball on Sunday afternoon before 2,076 at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, Minn.

The Rox pushed two runs across in the ninth inning before Nathan Garza came in to relieve and got standout Andy Henkemeyer to fly out to end the threat.

Luke Campbell and Connor Joe had three hits apiece to lead Duluth (3-2 second half, 22-17 overall), while Chris Paul had three hits to pace St. Cloud (3-2, 12-27).

The same teams rematch at 7:05 p.m. today in St. Cloud before the Huskies return home for a 7:05 p.m. Tuesday game against Alexandria.
