Huskies climb back into first place

The Duluth Huskies regained the top spot in the Northwoods League North Division second-half standings after defeating Rochester 7-5 Saturday night at Mayo Field in Rochester.

That victory, coupled with Willmar's 4-2 loss to St. Cloud, pushed the Huskies into first place by a half game.

Duluth scored four runs in the top of the first inning, chasing eventual losing pitcher Nick Dolsky (1-2), who gave up three hits, four earned runs and three walks in just one inning pitched.

Joey Webb (3-3) picked up the victory, pitching six innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs, walking one and striking out six.

The Huskies and Honkers play again today at 1:05 p.m.
